A motorcyclist has died in a tragic accident at Dhamairhat in Naogaon. The incident took place at Biharinagar intersection of the upazila on Wednesday afternoon.Witnesses said Ashraf Siddique, 25, son of late Fazlur Rahman of Singarul village, was returning home from Dhamairhat on November 25 at around 1.30pm with a rural electricity bill. Ashraf Siddiqui, a motorcyclist, was killed in a head-on collision with a fishing boat from Nazipur at a place called Biharinagar on the way. Upon receiving the news, the police recovered the body along with the crushed motorcycle from the front and took the killer into custody. The OC of Dhamairhat Police Station admitted the truth of the incident and said that after receiving the news of the accident, the police immediately sent the body to the spot and recovered the body and the ghost. Action will be taken against the accused. Locals allege that uncontrolled bhutbhuti has become a death trap on the roads and highways. Appropriate steps need to be taken by the authorities now to prevent these accidents, otherwise many lives will have to be lost in this way.
